Vlogger Rajab Ali Butt has been sentenced to one year of community service for illegally possessing a lion cub. Instead of traditional punishment, the court decided that Butt should create monthly vlogs to promote animal rights. This decision was made by Special Judicial Magistrate Hamidul Rehman Nasir, who noted Butt’s remorse and willingness to educate others.
As part of his sentence, Butt must record a five-minute video about animal rights in the first week of every month from February 2025 to January 2026. These videos aim to raise public awareness about wildlife protection. The lion cub has been transferred to the Lahore Wildlife Safari Zoo for proper care.
