The Punjab Assembly has established its first-ever Parliamentary Caucus for Child Rights to address issues related to children’s welfare and rights across the province.
Led by Member of Provincial Assembly Sarah Ahmad, the caucus includes prominent members such as Zakia Khan, Mehwish Sultana, Salma Saeed, and Rukhsana Kosar. Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Ahmad Khan, the Patron of the Caucus, announced this initiative to create a collaborative platform for addressing pressing child-related issues. The caucus will regularly discuss and deliberate on challenges faced by children, compile recommendations, and present detailed reports to the Punjab Assembly for consideration and implementation. This move aims to foster stakeholder cooperation and work towards sustainable solutions for improving children’s welfare and rights in Punjab.
