Pakistan and Belarus have signed eight memoranda of understanding (MoUs) to strengthen their bilateral ties and boost cooperation across various sectors. These agreements were signed during the Pakistan-Belarus Business Forum held in Islamabad, co-chaired by Pakistan’s Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan and Belarus’s Energy Minister Aleksei Kushnarenko.
Key Highlights of the MoUs:
- Pharmaceutical Cooperation: Pharmaceutical companies from both countries signed a five-year agreement covering pharmacy registration, supply of medicines, nutritional food, automobile products, veterinary medicines, and logistics.
- Agricultural Machinery: The Green Corporation Initiative and the Tractor Works Company of Belarus signed an MoU to enhance cooperation in agricultural machinery.
- Logistics Cooperation: RUE Beltamozhservice and the National Logistic Corporation signed an agreement to improve logistics and supply chain management.
- Veterinary Drug Supply: JSC BelVitunipharm and Mustafa Brothers signed a contract to supply veterinary drugs.
- Metal Supply: JSC Beltsvetmet and Raas International Trading signed a metal supply contract for 2025.
- Tire Sales: JSC Belshina and Shahzad Trade Links signed a memorandum of intentions for tire sales in the Pakistani market.
- Industrial Goods: JSC Minsk Motor Plant and Shahzad Trade Links agreed to cooperate on product supply in 2025.
- Pharmacy Registration and Supply: RUE Belmedpreparaty and Bio Medical System signed an MoU for pharmacy registration and supply.
These agreements aim to enhance business-to-business (B2B) cooperation, diversify trade, and explore new opportunities in sectors such as food, pharma, textiles, logistics, and energy. The visit of Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko to Pakistan and the signing of these MoUs reflect the strong and growing partnership between the two countries.
