According to the news circulation, The International Cricket Council (ICC) is set to hold a crucial virtual board meeting on November 29, 2024, to discuss the future of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
The meeting will discuss the possible measures if India continues to show stubbornness for not coming to Pakistan.
The meeting comes amid uncertainty following India’s refusal to travel to Pakistan for the tournament due to longstanding political tensions and security concerns and they planned to discuss options about a hybrid model and relocation and hosting the entire event without coming to India to Pakistan.
In response to it PCB has clarified that it is not possible to accept the hybrid model and insists on hosting the entire tournament in Pakistan. The ICC board will need to find a solution that satisfies all stakeholders, particularly India and Pakistan.
The outcome of this meeting will be critical in determining whether the Champions Trophy will proceed in Pakistan, follow a hybrid model, or be relocated entirely.
