Ali Amin Gandapur, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has been removed from his position as the President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This decision was made during a leadership meeting with PTI founder Imran Khan in Adiala Jail. MNA Junaid Akbar has been appointed as the new PTI KP president.
PTI leader Salman Akram Raja confirmed that Gandapur stepped down voluntarily to focus on his responsibilities as Chief Minister, especially with the law and order issues in the province. However, some sources within PTI suggest that Gandapur was removed due to his close relations with the military establishment.
The leadership change was discussed during a meeting between Junaid Akbar and Imran Khan, with several senior party figures present. Raja hinted at further organizational changes within PTI, including the potential appointment of ex-MNA Alia Hamza to a significant role in Punjab
