On Wednesday, November 27, 2024, the Balochistan government launched the Pink Scooty Scheme to empower women by providing pink scooters to working women and female students.
Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti announced that the policy for the scheme would be formulated soon. The initiative aims to make women and students more independent and self-reliant.
The scheme was inaugurated by gifting pink scooters to a student from FG Girls Degree College and a female police officer.
The scooters will be awarded to students of universities, colleges, and secondary schools across Balochistan.
The government is committed to providing ample opportunities for development in every sphere of life for the women of Balochistan.
Currently, five women Deputy Commissioners are appointed in Balochistan, performing admirably in their administrative roles.
