Ahmed Daniyal and Shahnawaz Dahani Ruled Out of ODI Series Due to Injuries

Pakistan’s fast bowlers Ahmed Daniyal and Shahnawaz Dahani have been ruled out of the ongoing ODI series against Zimbabwe due to injuries.

Ahmed Daniyal sustained a hamstring injury, while Shahnawaz Dahani suffered a left ankle injury during a training session.

Both players will return to Pakistan for rehabilitation and will report to the National Cricket Academy in Lahore to undergo recovery protocols.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has called up Abbas Afridi and Jahandad Khan to replace the injured players.

Both Afridi and Khan will be available for selection in the decisive match against Zimbabwe. Additionally, Aamir Jamal has been added to the T20I squad in place of Ahmed Daniyal.

Ahmed Daniyal and Shahnawaz Dahani sustained their injuries during a training session on Sunday.

Initial scans and clinical assessments confirmed their respective injuries, leading to their exclusion from the series.

The PCB has decided to send both players back to Pakistan for rehabilitation to ensure a safe and effective recovery.

The series between Pakistan and Zimbabwe has been closely contested, with both teams winning one match each. The decisive third ODI is expected to be a thrilling encounter as Pakistan looks to seal the series amidst these last-minute changes.
