As per reports Sky Wings, a private aviation company, has announced the launch of its air ambulance service in Pakistan. This new service aims to provide rapid medical transportation for patients nationwide. The service will begin operations with a Piper Seneca aircraft now stationed in Karachi. This aircraft is equipped to transport patients from any airport in Pakistan to Karachi, ensuring they receive timely medical care.
The air ambulance service includes a dedicated medical team to assist patients during flights. Imran Aslam Khan, CEO of Sky Wings Aviation, shared plans to expand the service by adding two additional aircraft to the fleet in the near future. The company aims to provide nationwide coverage, enabling swift patient transfers from remote or urban areas to medical facilities.
This initiative adds to efforts to improve emergency medical response in Pakistan. Notably, in July 2022, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz launched a government-operated air ambulance service. The service successfully transported an injured woman from Mianwali to Rawalpindi, fulfilling a commitment made to the people.
Sky Wings’ air ambulance service is expected to enhance the country’s healthcare infrastructure by providing a reliable and efficient means of medical transportation. The service will be particularly beneficial for patients in remote areas who require urgent medical attention and need to be transported to major hospitals in urban centers. Sky Wings’ launch of an air ambulance service in Pakistan marks a significant development in the country’s healthcare sector.
