Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched the CM Punjab Free Solar Panel Scheme to help reduce electricity expenses for households. This initiative aims to provide long-term relief to 100,000 low-consumption electricity users across the province.

Key Details:

Eligibility: Households consuming up to 200 units of electricity per month can apply.

Solar Systems:

550-watt systems for those using up to 100 units per month.

1,100-watt systems for those using up to 200 units per month.

Application Process:

Apply via the online portal at cmsolarscheme.punjab.gov.pk.

Alternatively, send details via SMS to 8800.

Verification: Applications will be verified using the reference and CNIC numbers on the applicant’s electricity bill.

Transparency: A computerized ballot system will ensure fair distribution.

Environmental Impact: The installation of 100,000 solar systems is expected to cut carbon emissions by 57,000 tons annually.

This scheme is part of the government’s efforts to utilize public funds for the welfare of citizens and promote renewable energy in Punjab.
