Dr. Muhammad Amjad Saqib, a well-known Pakistani social entrepreneur and the founder of Akhuwat, has received the esteemed Brain of the Year Award 2025 from The Brain Trust.
The announcement was made during a ceremony at the British House of Commons, presented by Raymond Keene OBE, Grand Chessmaster and Chairman of The Brain Trust.
Dr. Saqib was honored for his outstanding work in mental health, poverty alleviation, and empowering marginalized communities.
As the founder of Akhuwat, the largest Islamic microfinance institution in the world, he has introduced interest-free microloans, changing the lives of millions of underprivileged people in Pakistan.
