In a heartwarming development, the Lahore Safari Zoo has recently welcomed seven lion cubs, further enriching its family of big cats. Zoo Director Tanveer Ahmed Janjua announced this delightful news on Friday, November 29, 2024. The cubs were born to three lionesses: one lioness had three cubs, while the other two each welcomed two cubs. Notably, among the new arrivals are two rare white lion cubs, making this occasion even more remarkable.
In addition, the zoo team has also celebrated the birth of three healthy Royal Bengal tiger cubs in recent weeks. All the cubs are thriving and in good health.
These new births have increased the zoo’s lion population from 22 to 29, marking a significant milestone for the Lahore Safari Zoo. The tiger cubs, born a few weeks earlier, have also added to the zoo’s growing family of big cats.
This joyful news serves as a beacon of hope and excitement for wildlife enthusiasts and the general public, showcasing the successful breeding programs and the dedicated care provided by the zoo staff.
