The Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2024 retake in Islamabad has been postponed due to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) planned protest on November 24.
The Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU) will now conduct the test on Sunday, December 81. This decision follows a directive from the Islamabad High Court (IHC), which had earlier set aside the MDCAT 2024 results, declaring the original paper out of the syllabus.
The court ordered a new test to be conducted within a month to ensure fairness and adherence to the syllabus1.
Sindh
In Sindh, the MDCAT 2024 retake is scheduled for December 8. The Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Sukkur will conduct the test, with preparations already completed2.
Test centers will be set up in Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, Larkana, and Nawabshah. This decision follows the Sindh High Court (SHC) ruling, which set aside the previous MDCAT results and ordered a retake within a month due to the compromised test system2.
