Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has pledged to enhance special education systems across the province. During a recent meeting, she emphasized the government’s commitment to improving special education centers and systems. The CM highlighted the establishment of Pakistan’s first government autism school in Lahore, which aims to ease the financial burden on parents and empower special children as productive members of society.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif also mentioned that 10 autism units have been established across various special education institutions in Punjab, with necessary educational facilities already underway. The CM announced the introduction of Punjab’s first-ever grand sports gala for special education students and the completion of eight new special school buildings, with nine more approved.
