The moon for the Islamic month of Shaban 1446 AH has been sighted in Pakistan. The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, led by Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, confirmed the sighting. As a result, the first day of Shaban will be observed on Friday, January 31, 2025. This marks the beginning of the eighth month of the Islamic calendar, leading up to the holy month of Ramadan. Shab-e-Barat, an important Islamic observance, will be observed on February 13, 2025.
