Elon Musk recently faced criticism for making a controversial hand gesture during a speech at an event celebrating President Donald Trump’s inauguration.
While thanking supporters, Musk placed his right hand over his heart and then extended it straight out in front of him.
Many people on social media compared this gesture to the Nazi salute, causing outrage and criticism. Musk dismissed the accusations as “dirty tricks” and said the “everyone is Hitler” attack is overused. The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) defended Musk, saying the gesture was made in a moment of enthusiasm and was not a Nazi salute.
However, the incident has raised concerns and debates about the appropriateness of such gestures at public events.
